Tim is General Counsel, Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer of MFP Investors LLC, an SEC registered investment adviser, MFP Partners, L.P., MFP Ventures, LLC, the Price Family Foundation, and the related entities of the family office of Michael F. Price. In addition to legal, compliance, operations, and tax planning, he manages a portfolio of venture capital, private equity, real estate and hedge fund investments. In this role he invests in companies, private funds and co-investment vehicles and regularly sits on boards to advise on capital raising, governance, mergers & acquisitions, and post-deal monitoring and dispute resolution. He currently serves as a board/committee member or observer for Decisive Point Group, LLC, K2 Integrity Holdings, Inc., Liquidnet Holdings, Inc., Madison Realty Capital Equity Fund I, LLC, Parvizi Surgical Innovations, LLC, [PSI Capital Partners, LLC][Parvisi Innovation Ventures, LLC] and UniteUs, Inc. Mr. Ladin is a Financial Poise Faculty Member as a speaker and moderator on private funds and mergers & acquisitions and presents to the University at Albany Student Business Investment Group.

Prior to joining MFP Investors LLC in 2007, Mr. Ladin spent the previous eight years at The Hearst Corporation: the latter half as Counsel, where he did corporate transactional work, venture capital, private equity, mergers & acquisitions and technology & database licensing; and the former half as Director of Business Development for Hearst Interactive Media, Hearst’s venture capital arm, where he evaluated, invested in, and helped to build, early to mid-stage Internet and technology companies. Prior to Hearst, Mr. Ladin was an associate at Clifford Chance, Rogers & Wells, where he did corporate transactional work, with a specialty in mergers & acquisitions, venture capital, private equity, and technology transactions. He received a J.D. from Georgetown University Law School in 1996 and a B.S. in Business Administration from University at Albany in 1993.
