Emanuele Chisari, MD, PhD

Dr. Chisari is a physician-scientist and clinical advisor at PSI. After graduation from the University of Catania, Italy in 2019, Dr. Chisari joined Rothman Orthopaedic Institute in Philadelphia, the US, to pursue a Ph.D. in the role of the microbiome in periprosthetic joint infections. He attended multiple leading institutions in Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States throughout his career. Public and private institutions have funded his research for over $600,000 through awards and grants that resulted in over 70 peer-reviewed publications, multiple book chapters, and conference presentations.

In addition to his research work, Dr. Chisari engages in company creation and investment in the life sciences. So far, he has been the co-founder of three companies inside the PSI group and has submitted one patent as the first inventor.
